Europa Metals is a lead-zinc exploration company focused exclusively on European projects.

The company believes Europe, and Spain in particular, is an unrealised region for modern mine development and that the opportunity to create new mines within a best practice social and environmental framework, near first-class infrastructure, is significant.

Currently, it is progressing the Toral lead, zinc and silver project towards mine development.

() announced “excellent” initial assay results from a Pre-Feasibility Study drilling programme at its Toral lead, zinc and silver project in Spain.

Significant intersections from drill holes included 2.4 metres at 10.58% zinc equivalent (including lead and silver credits) and 20.45 metres at 2.68% zinc equivalent (including lead and silver credits).

“Today’s assay results are excellent and we look forward to incorporating a new resource zone into the early years of potential future production at Toral,” said chief executive Laurence Read.

“This will clearly be dependent on the results of an independent JORC (2012) resource update to be commissioned in due course, however the campaign’s findings to date are supportive of us meeting this objective.”

‘s () Laurence Read and Myles Campion speak to Proactive after announcing what they’ve described as excellent metallurgical testing and ore sorting results from its Toral project in Spain. An independent consultant tested the grade and recoveries from three distinct sample types, namely: TOD-025H, a high-grade sample; TOD-025L, a low-grade sample; and TOD-024, a weathered sample obtained from Europa’s last drilling campaign. They say the recovery and grade results are significantly above average compared with concentrates available in the current market with the lead concentrate grade considered to rank amongst the highest concentrate grades globally.
