Bidstack Group PLC (LON:BIDS), the native in-game advertising platform, has beefed up its board with two directorial appointments.
In a statement ahead of its annual general meeting (AGM) today, the company said its pipeline for further AAA and high-fidelity titles is robust “as game developers of all sizes and channels are eager to adopt Bidstack’s offer to deliver quality brand campaigns and provide an additional source of monetisation”.
Glen Calvert, the chief operating officer of Fnatic Ltd, is stepping up from the advisory board to become an independent non-executive director and Lisa Hau, Bidstack’s current chief operating officer, joins the board as an executive director.
Meanwhile, Mike Hayes will be moving from the board to the company’s advisory board.
The company continues to seek to appoint a further independent non-executive director, it said.
“Lisa is already well entrenched in the Bidstack business as COO and has impressed many of us in successfully driving forward a number of aspects of our business. Her background and previous experience at WPP has been instrumental on many occasions since she joined the team. I am pleased that we will now have the benefit of her insight on the board,” said James Draper, the chief executive of Bidstack.
“I have known Glen for several years and his entrepreneurial flair, understanding of programmatic advertising technology and depth of knowledge of the esports business will be a valuable asset to the team. His presence as an independent non-executive director on the board is a huge endorsement for the company and we look forward to working with him as we continue to drive growth for our shareholders,” Draper added, while also thanking Hayes for his service on the Bidstack board.
As previously indicated, the company expects revenues will be materially higher in 2021 than they were in 2020 but significantly weighted towards the second half of the year.
Shares in Bidstack were unchanged in mid-morning deals.
